Balmoral Hotel Wedding. One of my last weddings of 2017 took place in the fabulous Balmoral Hotel in central Edinburgh.
Dalia booked me for her wedding in the summer and we had our first meeting in a Burger King in Edinburgh’s main train station, Waverley Station. We originally agreed to meet at Costa by the station (there’s one on the train platform (which I didn’t know) and one on Princes Street, but the Waverley one was too busy so we went into Burger King (I love Burger King). Whatever works 🙂
Philip wasn’t able to be there for that meeting but we went over the wedding, I showed them my portfolio and everyone was really happy and on the day of the wedding everything was even more happy. Both Dalia and Philip were completely undemanding and super easy to work with and the staff are so good ever Balmoral Hotel Wedding I have photographed has been a real joy. I was booked from the last hour of preparation photos up until photos just after the wedding breakfast, so around 4-5 hours, which was great.
Something I’ve never experienced before at a wedding, on the day of Dalia and Philip’s wedding Scotland was playing Australia in the rugby at Murrayfield and Philip left the wedding to go watch the match. Full credit to both Dalia and Philip for allowing this to happen and for Philip, congrats on the Scots beating the Aussies, that’s only the fourth time since the early 1980s.
So here’s a collection of photos. Dalia looked stunning, the venue looked great and the whole wedding was an absolute pleasure to photograph.
