Recently I photographed a few weddings and the last of this group of weddings was this wedding at South Queensferry Registrars Office. This was possibly the shortest of all of these weddings but it was a real pleasure photographing this wedding as I know the groom quite well. Donald manages a number of Airbnb properties so over the last couple of years I’ve been photographing his properties.

As is happening with a lot of people, his wedding plans changed and he asked me with just a couple weeks notice if I could photograph his wedding at South Queensferry Registrars Office which of course I immediately said yes.

Now I’ve photographed a few weddings in South Queensferry and at the registry office and thankfully (finally) they’ve had a big refurbishment inside and now the wedding room looks a million times better. On the day we were exceptionally lucky with the weather. We were having some kind of storm front at the time of their wedding and indeed on the drive to their wedding it was raining but when I got there the sun came out and we had lots of blue skies.

As mentioned this was a really short wedding, possibly just over an hour in total. South Queensferry doesn’t have a lot of places to take wedding photos but the few spots it does have make for really fantastic photo spots and of course the Forth Bridges always look great in photos. Donald and his wife Robyn (first time I’ve met her and she was great fun!) were awesome to work with; they were both super relaxed and up for some fun and I think this really shows in their photos. I really enjoyed this wedding at South Queensferry Registrars Office.
