Prestonfield House is a really funny venue for me. It’s just 5 minutes away from my home and it’s a venue I seem to go past all the time but I only go there maybe 2 or 3 times a year. I have the occasional afternoon tea there, which is really good btw, I’ll have 1 or two meals there a year and I’ll photograph 1 or 2 weddings/couples shoots/engagements there a year as well.
My first anything at Prestonfield House this year was a wedding for Aisling and Colleen who came over from Ireland, and it was a really cool small wedding as it was just the two of them so I got to talk to them a lot and everything was just focused on them. No guests at all, just them.
Aisling and Colleen’s wedding took place on the first floor and it was a quick but really lovely ceremony. After the ceremony we took some photos around the building, including out on the grounds, then we jumped in my car and went over to Arthurs Seat and took some photos around there.
I spent just under two hours with Aisling and Colleen but it was great working with them and it was also great going back to Prestonfield again.
