Something a little bit different for this blog post but recently I’ve been shooting quite a lot of weddings and I’m as always still doing a lot of commercial work. As much as I love these kinds of work it’s still nice to do other things and one thing we’ve started doing again is food photography. I’ve also had a couple enquiries about capturing some virtual tours, something I used to do a lot when I started out as a photographer.
Another thing I used to do quite a bit of but less so is shooting portraits. Ok, technically in weddings I capture a lot of portraits, but what I mean is on location shoots capturing portraits in a much more relaxed environment than within a wedding.
This portrait shoot was the second I did recently with Martin. Martin is a friend I worked with for about 18 months and while I don’t really see him much nowadays it was still really cool catching up. The first shoot, which I haven’t shared here, had to be delayed by about 5 weeks. Either the wedding was rubbish, one of us had no spare days, I was on baby duty or whatever. Eventually for the first shoot I did have to bring Amelia and that’s why I haven’t shared the photos.
For this second photoshoot which took place today (quick edit!) I met up once again with Martin and his friend Chelsey. Martin asked me to take some portraits of him as he’s going through bit of a vanity thing but I think he wanted someone to keep him company so he brought along Chelsey who I haven’t met before. Lovely lady, really nice.
So here are the photos from this shoot. We spent around two hours taking photos (ideal amount of time in my opinion) and we visited Edinburgh’s Old Town, Victoria Terrace and Dean Village over at Stockbridge. Hope you like the photos below.
