City Chambers Holyrood Park
A couple weeks ago I photographed my first Covid-19 lockdown wedding. It was originally supposed to take place at City Chambers but this was moved to Dunbars Close Gardens. A couple weeks later everything went back into City Chambers and I photographed another wedding which I’ll post in the next few days but I’ve just finished this one and wanted to share it.
Harry and Ylva were originally due to get married at the Rowantree in May but this was changed to October, then suddenly two weeks ago they asked if I could photograph their wedding a week later and thankfully I was available as their wedding was a lot of fun to photograph. Naturally with all the restrictions going on, the wedding was greatly reduced in size to just Harry, Ylva and his parents but we managed to get a lot of photos and locations in a relatively short amount of time.
Originally they were going to do a pre shoot before their wedding at the Rowantree and we still did this. We met up at St Margarets Loch over in Holyrood Park, took some photos then headed into town, took some photos around Old Town, did the ceremony then more photos outside.
I really enjoyed this wedding. Everyone was a lot of fun to work with and of course it’s great to be out photographing weddings again. This wedding was a bit different as everyone was required to wear masks while in the building, and incidentally since this wedding City Chambers has been temporarily closed again as a Covid-19 precaution but I was just happy that I could finally work with Harry and Ylva.
As mentioned work is starting to pick up. I’ve just photographed four weddings in 5 weeks and I’m starting to get little jobs trickling through my property photography business and the rest of my time is focused on web design. Thankfully my daughter is now back at school so I’ve got a lot more dedicated time for doing work that I want and need to do.
